  • Indian shuttler C Rahul Yadav and Men’s doubles pair of Manu Attri and B Sumeeth Reddy has won the Men’s singles and Men’s doubles title at Lagos International challenge.

Sebastian Vettel wins Hungarian Grand Prix


  • Sebastian Vettel won a Hungarian Grand Prix.He took the checkered flag 0.9 seconds ahead of Raikkonen on 30th July 2017. 
  • This is his fourth win of the season and 46th of his Formula One career.

Maharashtra government launched Pilot project to encourage use of bicycle 

  • The Maharashtra state government is planning to create cycle tracks through 'streets with cycle track' project in order to encourage the use of bicycles which will eventually help to ease congestion and reduce air pollution.

India’s first unmanned tank Muntra launched 

  • The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) launched India's first unmanned tank Muntra (Mission UNmanned TRAcked) on 29th July 2017 that was being developed in Chennai.

RBI slaps Rs. 1 cr penalty on Union Bank for KYC non-compliance

  • The RBI has imposed a penalty of Rs. 1 crore on state-owned Union Bank of India for “non-compliance” with the directions on Know Your Customer (KYC) norms.

  • Canara Bank has launched its first ‘Digital Banking Branch’ named 'CANDI' in Bengaluru. The branch will provide an end-to-end digital experience to customers.

  • The world’s longest pedestrian suspension bridge the Europabrücke or Europaweg (Europe Bridge) on 29th July 2017, a ribbon-thin span nearly a third of a mile long at in Randa, Switzerland.
