On 4th January World Braille Day day is observed across the world 



On 4th January 2017 the World Braille Day was observed across the world with the purpose to commemorate the birth anniversary of Louis Braille.
However, to celebrate this day, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), health institutions, policy makers across the world came all together to raise awareness about the problems of visually impaired people.


Dasari to make biopic on – Former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa



The popular filmmaker and former Union Minister Dasari Narayana Rao has announced on 4th January, 2017 that he is going to make a biopic on former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa, who breathed her last on 5th December, 2016.
Dasari Narayana Rao has said clearly that - “I have been closely associated with the actor who went on to become a political leader and I have observed her life. It struck me that it was only appropriate that I make a film on a person who inspired several people and worked in at least 140 films in Tamil, Telugu and Kannada,”


Scientists discovered which new human organ in digestive system – Mesentery



Scientists from the country Ireland have claimed discovery of a new human organ named the mesentery that exists in the digestive system.
However, it will be known as human body’s 79th organ.
The organ Mesentery connects the intestine to the abdomen.  The organ was previously thought to consist of fragmented and disparate structures.


 Sir Tim Barrow has been appointed as Britain's EU ambassador

On 4th January 2017, Sir Timothy Earle Barrow was appointed the British Permanent Representative to the European Union (EU).
However, this appointment came after the resignation of Sir Ivan Rogers from his post on 3rd January, 2017.


 Patna received international accolades as India celebrates 350th Prakash Parv 


India is celebrating the 350th Prakash Parv i.e. birth anniversary of Guru Govind Singh Ji.
However, the main function held on 5th January, 2017 at the iconic Gandhi Maidan, in which Prime Minister Narendra Modi also participated along with Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and several other Sikh dignitaries from India and abroad.
Here, Bihar government had also announced a three-day holiday during the ‘Prakash-Parv’ at Takht Harmandir Sahib, the birthplace of the 10th Sikh Guru.
